Peta potrditev za Metaljot Raspaljot 2024 so velenjski thrash metal veterani Kaoz. Festival se bo odvijal 5. julija na občinskem dvorišču v Laškem, doslej potrjeni nastopajoči pa so Bombarder, Rotting Christ, Skytower in 1914.

Prvih 100 vstopnic po ceni 29 EUR je že pošlo. V predprodaji bo naslednjih 200 vstopnic na voljo po ugodnjši ceni 32 EUR, nato pa bodo v redni prodaji stale 35 EUR oziroma 37 EUR na dan dogodka.

Madridska brutal death metal zasedba Christ Denied je objavila visualizer za komad A Blinding Light? s prihajajočega albuma Christopsy. To bo njen tretji dolgometražec po vrsti, izšel pa bo bo 21. maja pri založbi Xtreem Music.

Četrta potrditev za Metaljot Raspaljot 2024 so ukrajinski blackened death/doom metalci 1914, ki bodo v Laškem nastopili poleg Bombarder, Rotting Christ in Skytower.

Metaljot Raspaljot 2024 se bo odvijal 5. julija na občinskem dvorišču v Laškem.

Kerry King je objavil video za drugi single Residue s prihajajočega prvenca From Hell I Rise, katerega izid je že napovedan za 17. maj pri založbi Reigning Phoenix Music.

Avstralsko-finska dark metal zasedba The Eternal je objavila video za skladbo Deathlike Silence s prihajajočega albuma Skinwalker, ki naj bi izšel 28. junija pri založbi Reigning Phoenix Music.

Deathcorovci Chelsea Grin sporočajo, da je vrzel na bobnarskem stolčku zapolnil Josh Miller. Zasedba se je pred kratkim razšla z bobnarjem Pablom Viverosom in tako je nov polnopravni član zasedbe postal Josh. Izjava banda:

»We hope everyone has been doing well; we have some updates. We have parted ways with our fill-in drummer, Nathan Pearson. We sincerely value his friendship, as well as his devotion to furthering his craft and bringing his all to the stage. We truly look forward to watching his drumming career continue to blossom and advance, and value his time with us.

Furthermore, the band and Pablo have mutually agreed to separate. Pablo is one of our oldest friends, the life of the party, a masterful player, and a powerful creative. Mednarodna progresivna zasedba Seventh Station je med svoje letošnje koncerte dodala dva posebna dogodka. Med 23. in 25. majem se bo udeležila in nastopila na enem izmed večjih glasbenih dogodkov na območju Balkana, in sicer na bolgarskem Spike Music Showcasu v Plovdidu. Nekaj dni pred tem, natančneje v nedeljo, 19. maja, pa bo kot prva metal zasedba nastopila na grajskem dvorišču gradu Brežice, ki se v toplejših mesecih spremeni v koncertno prizorišče. Po ponovni vrnitvi na sceno leta 2020 bodo nov album izdali melodični death metalci Withering Surface. Exit Plan bo izšel 7. junija pri Mighty Music, zasedba pa je že predstavila prvi single Where Dreamers Die.

Finski folk metalci Korpiklaani so minuli petek pri Nuclear Blast Records izdali album Rankarumpu, ki ga lahko poslušate tukaj, medtem ko lahko naslovni komad preverite spodaj.

Včeraj je Ueldes razkril naslovnico in ime naslednjega izida. Pri založbi Sij MusicArt bo 1. junija izdal 33-minutni EP The Veil of Mountains, ki prinaša te štiri skladbe:

Poleg Bombarder in Rotting Christ bo na letošnjem festivalu Metaljot Raspaljot 2024 nastopila postojnska crossover/thrash metal zasedba Skytower, ki je bila aktivna med letoma 1992 in 2005. Člani so se predlani znova zbrali skupaj in se bodo po 20 letih premora poleti vrnili na oder.

Metaljot Raspaljot se bo 5. julija odvijal na občinskem dvorišču v Laškem. Vstopnice so že v prodaji, in sicer bo prvih 100 vstopnic na voljo po ceni 29 EUR, cena naslednjih 200 vstopnic bo 32 EUR, redna cena pa bo nato 35 EUR. Na dan dogodka bo vstopnina 37 EUR. Vstopnice lahko kupite na portalu Olaii oziroma v vseh trafikah 3DVA ter bencinskih črpalkah Shell in OMV (MOL).

Kot smo januarja poročali, je v 78. letu starosti umrl Tony Clarkin, kitarist, ustanovitelj britanskih veteranov Magnum. Že takrat se je šušljalo, da to pomeni tudi konec za zasedbo, ki je to zdaj tudi uradno potrdila. Izjava vokalista Boba Catleyja:

»Hello, everybody. Bob here. All right. I wish I didn't have to tell you this, but I really can't carry on with Tony not here anymore. Please forgive me, and I hope you can understand how I feel. I've been thinking about it a lot lately.
Since we lost Tone, we lost our guiding light, the magnum force behind the band, our songwriter, our producer, our guitar player. He was everything to the band. He was everything to me. For the last 50 years, we never went anywhere without each other. On tour, in the studio, I was at his side constantly, working on stuff with him. I had a wonderful life with Tony. But now it's all too much for me, people. I can't carry on without Tony.
I may pop up in some other shape or form in the near future – you never know – but I can't keep going on like this. It's far too sad; it's all too sad.
So, I hope you understand. You've been fantastic – the best audience ever. You kept this band going year after year, album after album, and we thank you for that.
So, be good. Keep Tony's music in your heart always. I know I will. I will always carry MAGNUM inside me. And I will always have Tony Clarkin beside me wherever I go.
